Abstract

Optical sensors have gained a huge importance nowadays, because of the speed with which they can measure, as well as the incredible precision they present. With the information generated by these sensors it is possible to "see" the surrounding environment, such method is known as Simultaneous Localization and Mapping. In this project will be studied how to use these current mapping techniques to aid the movement of autonomous or remote moving bodies. First of all a study of the bibliography on mapping techniques will be done and then the data collection and the map assembly study will be done with an application. (AU)
