Abstract

Brazil has an important participation in global citrus market, being one of the largest producers and exporters of citrus juice. São Paulo state stands out in this sector for its larger production and cultivated area. The citrus industry in São Paulo showed gains in productivity over the last decade due to the adoption of management technologies such as irrigation and fertigation. Given the demand for improvement in juice quality and also for rational use of water in agriculture, it is interesting to evaluate the effects of deficit irrigation and fertigation in yield and quality of oranges. This study aims to evaluate the effect of irrigation applied with water deficit and fertigation on yield and fruit quality of Pêra orange grafted on Sunki tangerine in the south-central region of São Paulo state. The experiment will be installed in a commercial orange orchard located in the municipality of Iaras - SP. Irrigation will be applied via drip irrigation with implantation of the following treatments: application of the ideal irrigation depths for the crop equivalent to crop evapotranspiration (ETc); 75% of ETc; 50% of ETc; 25% of ETc and control without irrigation. The experiment will be composed of five treatments with six replicates in blocks, totaling 30 plots. The evaluation of the yield will be carried out by weighing and the quality attributes of the fruits will be monitored during the maturation period and in the harvest. The results will be submitted to analysis of variance with F test and the Scott-Knott averages test at 5% probability. (AU)
