Abstract

In this research project, advanced fluorescence microscopy techniques will be applied to investigate the amino-catalysis reactions at single-molecule (SM) level forming fluorescent imidazole derivatives. Such compounds will provide intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) state due to the presence of electron withdrawing groups such as CN. These compounds may found applications in OLED with TADF effect. The development of such research topic of reactivity at SM level allows further optimization of catalysts and provides a completely new approach in chemical kinetics and photochemistry.
