Abstract

An analysis of sexual dimorphism has been extensively explored in Forensic Anthropology and Legal Dentistry aiming at its importance the general characters of the stylus exert in the identification process human. The largest set of core documents looking for accuracy of a qualitative technique in a sample of Brazilian skulls and quantitative methodology in a sample of Portuguese skulls for sex estimate. A Brazilian sample will be made up of 120 adult skulls of the IEPCF acquis. ANA sample should be made of 120 registered adult skulls from Collection of Identified Skeletons of the 21st Century (IEC/XXI) of the Laboratory of Forensic Anthropology, Department of Life Sciences, University of Coimbra. As two samples are documented, with the characteristics from the obituary of individuals. A Walker (2008) in the Brazilian sample and as measurements and interactive table described by Lopez-Capp et al. (2007) in the Portuguese sample. Posteriorly, the results of the group compared with the records of the collections and a rate of accuracy will be measured, through descriptive analysis, discriminant analysis and ROC curve using the STATA 13.0 software. If it is observed that the methodologies are not applied as sample calls, a the adaptation of the technique, becoming a reality in each country.
