Abstract

There is a critical context of living in city spaces. The globalized neoliberal political-ideological dimension has influenced the various social and urban dimensions, directing the commodification of life by disregarding any movement that does not aim to generate profit and conform to the financial logic. In this sense, it seeks to deal with the common, a concept that has been widely used in the political, economic and social fields, and which receives various denominations and translations as the common, commons, commoning, procomún, comum, bem comum. This concept discusses collective resources, shared social practices and inserts into the composition of urban resistances of contemporary social production. Understanding the city as the field of the commons, this research project addresses issues related to the production of the commons in the city of São Paulo/SP. Using cartography as a reading key that gives visibility to the multiple issues of space dispute, the main goal of this Project is to analyze the spatial and social assemblages that trigger the theoretical concept of the common in the urban, identifying the nuances that arise in the reproduction of the political discourse from common to the concretization of the practice in the contemporary city. The project it is a case study and intends to build it analyzes from the Actor-Network Theory (LATOUR, 2012), which will allow to draw a cartography that will seek to trace the relationship between discourse and practice. As a research subject, it intends to approach the consolidation movement of Parque Augusta and the occupation of the Casa Amarela Quilombo Afroguarany. From these relations, will be extracted the bases for a reflection on this mobilization by the resumption of the commons in the city, identifying, through this appropriation, if the discourse of the commons is consistent to maintain, expand and continue perpetuating the urban field.
