Abstract

Contemporary music and artistic practices have produced a wide variety of hybrid objects that put in scene the contact between more than one artistic language. The project proposes theoretical strategies and analytical practices for the description of these objects, and the construction of a creative process that is motivated by the theoretical-analytical developments of the research. Anchored in the French semiotics' tensive approach, proposed mainly by Claude Zilberberg, the work will present how the sound-musical perception as a sensitive and bodily interface can be analyzed from the semiotic categories of enunciation (GREIMAS, 2008) and of tensivity (ZILBERBERG, 2011). Continuing the results obtained in our master's research, in which we analyzed the dynamics of the modes of contact between the languages that constitute the objects of the practice of contemporary Brazilian scenic music, the objective is to observe how contemporary artistic works can be perceived according to a basic tensive musical enunciation, in which the way of organizing the languages in contact foresees an enunciatee profile based on the tension between the sensitive and intelligible aspects of sound and musical perception. Based on three contemporary artistic practices, in which sound materials and musical elements are used as constitutive aspects of the works - sound art, performance art and scenic music -, we will describe how the contacts between languages are organized and how the enunciative act, as a dialogue between enunciators (creators) and enunciatees (spectators) foreseen in the works, leads different ways of listening for each selected artistic practice. As part of the thesis, a hybrid musical performance will be held at the end of the work, developed from the results obtained in the theoretical stages of the research. (AU)
