Abstract

In both the international and national scenario, acute myocardial infarction leads the rankings of morbidity and mortality, generating hospitalizations and deaths annually. In addition, infarction represents an economic burden, especially in developing countries such as Brazil, in relation to the costs to the health system in relation to treatment in terms of treatment not related to financial losses to the detriment of lost productivity due to disability or premature death. From this perspective, it is essential that there are educational interventions for the management of modifiable risk factors in patients with coronary artery disease, since infarction manifests itself mainly through this condition. Objective: To develop and validate an educational health education game for patients with coronary artery disease. Method: The project will be divided into four phases. In the first, it will be possible for five Cardiology experts to discuss and decide the type of board game that best applies to the project. The second phase will consist of defining the rules and objectives of the game, with the same specialists mentioned above. Then, the third phase will consist of the production of the game interface and its theoretical content, based on the latest technologies and updates on the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. Finally, in the fourth and final phase, twenty-three other specialists in the field of Cardiology will be selected to validate the content and presentation of the game through the Likert scale.
