Abstract

Linked to the thematic project "Socio-spatial fragmentation and Brazilian urbanization: scales, vectors, rhythms, forms and contents", this scientific initiation proposal aims to analyze the current conditions of urban mobility in the Cidade Tiradentes neighborhood, located in the eastern part of the metropolis of São Paulo, having as analytical frame the public transport system and the public equipment and infrastructure that help in the accessibility and urban mobility. Based on the hypothesis of the occurrence of a process of socio-spatial fragmentation in the neighborhood, to be investigated, it is intended to map, evaluate the experiences of the inhabitants and identify the obstacles they face in their daily displacements (or the impossibility of these), in order to point the importance of mobility and effective urban accessibility in the composition of a neighborhood and a city for all. This way, it will be possible to understand urban mobility from an empirical human perspective, which is one of the conditions and, in the case of Cidade Tiradentes, a potentialized of the fragmented socio-spatial logic.
