Abstract

Studies related to mobility are central in the 21st century. With the transition, still in progress, from the center-periphery paradigm to socio-spatial fragmentation, mobility is shown to be one of the ways to help unveil this change. It is from the scale of the body that we can understand how the change in this paradigm is revealed in urban everyday life, especially by observing peripheral bodies, those segregated because they are at the base of the pyramid of the hierarchy of bodies, directly promoted by capitalist logic and the process of homogenization of space. The scale of the body, therefore, is the one through which we find ways to better understand how these processes have repercussions in the context of everyday life. We will focus on the analysis of fat bodies and their socio-spatial relationships, on state biopolitics and urban mobility, as they are directly affected by this paradigm shift. In this way, with the research we intend to follow the paths of these fat bodies, to understand how their urban mobility is interfered by the hegemonic logics of power in the public transport of the city of São Paulo/SP. For this, it is expected to obtain results from a qualitative methodology, with the mapping of the path by the researcher, in order to understand the relationship of the fat bodies with the fragmented city, if from this the pattern of fragmentation is already presented socio-spatial, in addition to seeking to carry out research that contributes to socio-spatial mobility that breaks with the hierarchy of bodies in the scope of political elaboration in the production of urban space
