Abstract

Although Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) presents a similar lethality to Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), PAD still is largely underdiagnosed, and, consequently, undertreated. This fact occurs due to the lack of studies that show the disease its mortality rate and its influence on other cardiovascular diseases, such as Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA) and Myocardial Infarction (MI). It will be done the mapping of patients with PAD who underwent index surgeries on lower limbs, with the goal of correlating and estimating the power of prediction with other cardiovascular events (MI, Angina), cerebrovascular(CVA, Transient ischemic attack), amputation and death. The study is an observational longitudinal of prospectively obtained data analysis which will be retrospectively reviewed, such analyzed data will be necessary for tracking an epidemiological risk profile of the PAD. The data will be collected from 834 selected patients for the study through the patient's electronic health records. Statistical analysis will include univariate tests and multivariate models (logistic regression). (AU)
