Abstract

With the rapid advancement of nanotechnology, nanoparticles (NPs) find widespreadapplications across various fields, notably in agricultural production, where there is agrowing demand for nanotechnology based products. This reality prompts scientificcom munities to raise concerns about the potential environmental and biological impactsof products containing NPs. NPs may be present within biological systems, associatingwith molecules that fulfill various functions within organisms and cells. Due to theirsignificant surface to volume ratio, NPs exhibit high reactivity and catalytic properties, allowing them to cross cell membranes. However, their interactions with these systemsremain incompletely understood. This project employs an NMR metabolomics appro achalongside LC MS to assess the biological impacts, extraction conditions, and metabolicprofiles of soybean plants cultivated in the presence of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs). Thiscomprehensive investigation aims to elucidate the molecular mechanisms in teractionsbetween NPs and organisms at molecular levels and identify potential metabolic markersarising from exposure to and interaction between biological systems and NPs.
