Abstract

City councils are institutions with consultive and deliberative functions, actuating in order to supervise and guide the formulation of public policies in several areas. Divided in thematic and setorial fields, they are part of the politic sphere and are linked to a local demand, an incentive from the state or a national legislation. The councils must actuate in a transparent form, and an appropriate manner of getting publicity for their actions is through the media, which can focus them with a journalistic approach, stimulating the public attention. However, the councils must master the necessary communication techniques and, from this, the objective of this project arises: to research the most adequate press advisory strategies to make public the performance of the councils from Bauru, SP, implementing them with the purpose of supporting the proeminence of their operations.
