Wanderson Roberto da Silva

Nutritionist at the University Center of Patos de Minas, Brazil (2010). M.Sc. (2014) and PhD. (2018) in Nutritional Sciences at the São Paulo State University, Brazil (UNESP). He improved his knowledge in quantitative research by completing two internships in Portugal at the University Institute of Psychological, Social and Life Sciences - ISPA (2013/2015). He completed two postdoctoral internships at UNESP (2018-2021), one on body image and the other on eating behavior. He was a visiting professor at the Federal University of Alfenas (UNIFAL) developing a set of activities (education, research and extension) in Public Health and Nutrition (2021-2023). He has worked in different higher education institutions teaching classes (e.g., behavioral nutrition; nutrition and health; nutritional assessment; nutrition and public health; nutritional epidemiology; scientific writing; biostatistics), giving lectures (e.g., body image; eating behavior; disorders food; psychometrics), and offering courses (quantitative approach; bibliographic referencing; psychometrics). He has advanced knowledge of questionnaire/scale validation and structural equation modeling. He has more than 55 articles published in national and international scientific journals, also collaborating as a reviewer of submitted manuscripts. He has already (co)supervised research projects at different levels (Scientific Initiation - undergraduate; Master's; Ph.D.) with different themes. Developed advisory activities for scientific research, especially cross-sectional studies. He supervised nutrition internships and carried out different extension activities with students. He has already provided individual and collective nutritional services with a focus on the behavioral approach, which is his expertise. He works in the stricto sensu Postgraduate Program in Food, Nutrition and Food Engineering at UNESP, teaching classes and supervising students at the Master's and Ph.D. levels. Its main themes of research interest are: Public Health; Eating Behavior; Body image; Psychometrics; Quality of life; Healthy Eating; and Nutritional Assessment. He works as manager of scientific projects at the Research and Teaching Center of the Eating Disorders Program (NUPE-AMBULIM) of the Institute of Psychiatry of the Hospital das Clínicas of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (IPq-HC-FM-USP).
