Graduated in Pharmacy-Biochemistry from the University of São Paulo (2001), PhD in Biotechnology from the University of São Paulo (2006), developing viral vector engineering projects for cancer gene therapy. Post-doctorate at the Heart Institute, University of São Paulo (2009), where he worked on gene therapy for cardiac hypertrophy and post-doctorate at the Sylvester Cancer Center, University of Miami (2011), where he developed projects in Cancer Immunotherapy. He is currently a researcher at the National Biosciences Laboratory (LNBio / CNPEM / MCTI), coordinating the the Advanced Biological Research Core, Advanced core for Immunotherapy viral vector laboratory and monoclonal antibody engineering unit. President of the CNPEM Internal Biosafety Committee. Has experience in immunomodulation, antitumor vaccines, immunomodulatory antibodies, engineering and production of viral vectors for gene expression or silencing, engineering of chimeric RNA aptamers. Develops projects in the areas of Biotechnology, virology, gene therapy and cancer immunotherapy. Indicators: published 42 articles in indexed journals. He has 3 patent applications, coordinated 4 FAPESP projects and a CNPq universal project in the area gene therapy and immunotherapy. Coordinates a PRONON project for the development of cell lines that produce biopharmaceuticals. He graduated 4 doctors, 4 masters, supervised 6 post-doctors and more than 30 interns and IC students. He is a collaborating professor at the Faculty of Medical Sciences at UNICAMP and the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at UNICAMP, teaching subjects and supervising students.
