CV Lattes ORCID

Birthplace: Brazil

I hold a Ph.D. in Food Engineering from the State University of Campinas (2020-2024), with a period of exchange at Johns Hopkins University (USA, 2022-2023). Previously, I earned a Masters degree in Food Engineering from the same university, with an exchange at the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (Japan, 2019), and a Bachelors degree in Biotechnology and Bioprocess Engineering from the São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2017).My expertise includes bioprocesses for the production of recombinant proteins, with a focus on yeast and process optimization for obtaining proteins of interest. I also have significant experience in the utilization of agro-industrial waste, particularly in the valorization of lignocellulosic biomass to transform agricultural residues into useful products. Additionally, I work with the microencapsulation of nutraceuticals and probiotics, developing techniques to protect and enhance the effectiveness of bioactive substances. In the field of protein engineering, my specialization encompasses directed evolution, the development of multifunctional chimeric proteins, and heterologous expression systems.
