Abstract

Lepidaploa estevesiana (Asteraceae) is a new species from the northern Mantiqueira range in the Atlantic Forest domain, in Minas Gerais and Espirito Santo states, Brazil. This new species grows in tropical highland grasslands and rock outcrops, from 1.700-2.200 m a.s.l. Lepidaploa estevesiana is described based on morphological evidence, and differs by its leaves, inflorescences, involucral bracts, and corolla. (AU)
