Abstract

We fabricated and measured a GaAs bullseye resonator able to operate above 3 GHz when coupled to whispering gallery optical modes. Our large phononic bandgap allowed us to observe the symmetry break caused by the material anisotropy and obtain optomechanical coupling rates above 30 kHz. (c) 2020 The Author(s) (AU)
