Abstract

ABSTRACT The text analyzes the grammar mobilized in the public arena that emerged around ethnic-racial inclusion policies in Brazil, demonstrating convergences and differences in the vocabulary and strategies of advocates for affirmative action targeting Black and Indigenous people. We examine in detail the creation of a specific admission program for Indigenous candidates implemented at the State University of Campinas in 2018, as part of a broader affirmative action program.
