Abstract

The aim is to develop advanced flow systems for chemical analysis exploiting pulsed flows, novel strategies for micro-liquid-liquid extraction, solid-liquid and liquid-gas, micro-digestion, novel alternatives for the immobilization of reagents and solvents, more efficient exploitation of slow reactions and the construction of miniaturized instruments. The reduced consumption of reagents and the volume of waste generated will also be emphasized. Analytical procedures involve spectroanalytical detection techniques in flow injection, sequential injection, multi-pumping and/or multi-commuted flow systems. These systems will be applied to analysis of soils, natural waters, plants, foods, drugs, molasses, biodiesel, ethanol fuel and petroleum coke. The procedures should provide significant improvements in analytical performance, adding features to be more environmentally friendly, robust and portable (AU)
