The increase in brazilian biodiesel production resulted in bigger availability of their coproducts, among them, the crude glycerin. This product is resultant by processing triglyceride into biodiesel, from plants or animal fats lipids. Due to the fact that crude glycerin has a high gluconeogenic power, its better understanding becomes necessary for inclusion as a macronutrient in diets. This project aims to evaluate the associative effect between different lipidic sources and crude glycerin (10% on dry matter) in beef cattle diets on: dry matter and nutrients intake, dry matter and nutrients digestibility, methane emission, average daily weight gain, meat quality and diets economicity. It will be used fourty Nellore steers, with an average body weight of 350 kg, fed on individuals stalls. Four isonitrogenous (13% CP) diets will be evaluated, as follows: control diet with 10% crude glycerin (dry matter basis) and the others diets with 10% crude glycerin on dry matter with addition of soybean oil, soybean grain or protected fat. This study will be conducted in three periods of 28 d, totaling 84 days, at the end all animals will be slaughtered.
