Abstract

The work aims to investigate the gastroprotective effect of the antiulcer activity and the healing effect of the extract and partition the leaves and fruits of Solanum paniculatum L. through biological assays. This species is cited in folk literature for its medicinal properties, such as tonic, antipyretic and treatment of gastric disorders. It is described in previous studies that the species under study is rich classes of chemical compounds with biological activities involved in gastroprotective activity and ulcerative lesions, such as alkaloids and steroidal saponins, and focus of several studies. In the search for biomolecules for the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases, there is growing interest in the components of natural origin, which commonly have reduced side effects compared to allopathic drug. Thus, it is necessary to investigate natural products with potential pharmacological properties. The experiment will be conducted at the Department of Physiology, UNESP, Botucatu and phytochemical analysis will be made at UNESP in Araraquara. For the tests will be used hydroalcoholic extract and their partitions of S. particulatum. In order to assess the gastroprotective activity, will be held induction protocols for agent-based peptic lesions related to the etiology of ulcers in humans. To complement the studies of gastroprotection and healing will be analyzed the biochemical and molecular. The results are expressed as mean ± standard deviation and the results are statistically analyzed, appropriate to the experimental model.
