Abstract

This research investigates the critical potential of the audiovisual in the production of anthropological knowledge through making a filmic trilogy that aims to articulate points of contact between Walter Benjamin's thought and Jean Rouch's work. It runs through the open field by the achievements of São Paulo theater group to develop dialogues between arts and ethnography, between artistic languages and scientific rhetorical. It's about theater, cinema and anthropology. (AU)
