Abstract

In recent years researchers have tried to develop techniques that are free of ionizing radiation, such as biomagnetic techniques. Of these, we highlight the biosusceptometria AC (BAC), which is a fairly simple technique, low cost and versatile that has wide application in research related to the human gastrointestinal tract and has recently been improved so that it could generate images of markers in both ferromagnetic vitro and in vivo, as it was proposed a new instrumentations to perform tomographic images. This project proposes the development of new instrumentation and characterizations of computational resources that allow the application of BAC to produce tomographic images of phantoms in vitro. Thus, we built new systems with imaging sensors and rotating samples and applying reconstruction algorithm (backprojection method) to obtain tomographic images of different phantoms by biosusceptometria AC. It is intended to improve the sensitivity and spatial resolution and reduce the acquisition time of the signals, and perform measurements on the images in an objective manner, significantly improving what has already been developed during the undergraduate research, and from these improvements carry future actions in vivo.
