Abstract

The objective of this project is to develop multi-scale strategies for multidimensional data visualization. Specifically, we intend to develop new hierarchical strategies to represent and cluster data, in order to facilitate visual treatment of big data sets and to allow a multi-scale interaction considering the user's point of view. We will combine multidimensional projection techniques and new visual paradigms recently developed by the Visual and Geometry Processing Group of the ICMC/USP, with dendrogram-based hierarchical cluster techniques. The developed methodology will be applied in the analysis of biological data provided by the signed partnerships with Brazilian and foreign researchers, aiming to build specialized applications.
