The increase in food demand, combined with needs to combat many kinds of diseases in crops, has made that the use of pesticides to intensify in the last decade around the world. The high number of active ingredients present in a single compound, physical chemical differences, the diversity of matrices in witch pesticides are found, and their low concentrations, make the preparation step a challenge to obtain good results.In this scenario the use of miniaturized techniques have increased, because needs small amount of solvents, and also do not need large amount of sample. Among this techniques MEPS (micro-extraction in a packed syringe) has showed a great potential, because can be use in on-line mode without any modifications in gas and liquid chromatography, it is a fast technique of analysis and the sorbent cartridge is reusable.The MEPS use in pesticides analyses was not much explored, mainly in food area; the use of nanomaterials in this technique are still insufficient, as evidenced by the small number of publications on the subject. Among them stands out polyaniline nanowires, polypyrrole / polyaniline nanofibers and polydiphenylamine nanocomposite. This project will study the development of analyses methods using MEPS as extraction technique to quantify pesticides in sample food. First of all will be evaluated the commercial cartridges for pesticides analyses in sugar cane juice samples. And then graphene cartridges will be evaluated in pesticides analyses in water and sugar cane juice samples, and then this study can be extend to other samples.
