Abstract

The main objective of this work is to outline methods for analyzing qualitative and quantitative data arising from the Project AVENA "Assessment , Teaching and Learning in Higher Education in Portugal and Brazil : realities and prospects " . This project is coordinated by Professor Domingos Fernandes , University of Lisbon , Portugal with funding ( PTDC/CPE-CED/114318/2009 ) and involving seven institutions of higher education , four and three Brazilian Portuguese. The AVENA project consists of two parts : 1 ) Qualitative Research and 2 ) Quantitative Research . Both qualitative research as quantitative research were applied in the seven institutions participants for teachers and students universities . From the qualitative and quantitative data generated in this project , we intend to integrate them through a framework developed for this purpose and described in the proposed work. In unfolding this contribution and experience with AVENA project , we intend to still apply the same process with the data obtained by the participating institutions and develop Brazilian project to be implemented in the Faculties of Administration of the State of São Paulo . Besides the development of data analysis , there will also be participating in meetings to discuss the results as well as the development of publications resulting from analysis developed . (AU)
