Abstract

The present research proposal configures itself as continuity and unfolds the study of Doctorate entitled "Human Constitution, Disability and Education: Problematizing the concept of compensation in historical-cultural perspective". It is a theoretical-empirical research, whose overall objective is to ascertain the conception of language, personality and human development from a historical-cultural perspective, bringing into discussion the problematization of the case of a student with Down syndrome in terms of inclusive education in a public school. Outlines the specific objectives: 1- Understand the dynamics of production of meanings, as these become co-incidents or not, and the effects on modes of participation of the subjects in educational practices.2- Investigate the place and the role of language/word of another in the organization of thought and in support of the forms of actions of the child with disabilities. This research is based on a vast collection of empirical material, recorded during the years 2010 to 2012 and that relates to situations involving the student in focus. The records will be revisited, revised, clipped and transcribed for analysis on the basis of the discussions on language and development. It is expected this study makes contributions in the area of Educational Psychology at the intersection with the area of Special and Inclusive Education, in order to expand opportunities for reflections on the processes of signification and the formation of personality.
