Abstract

This project consists of nutritional comparative study between non-transgenic (Glicine max (L). Merril) and Round Ready® transgenic soybean, by evaluating the bioaccessibility, by means of differentiating bioacessible fractions, through automated system, of essential elements, such as Cu, Fe, Mn and Zn. The implementation of the referred automated methodology is performed by the research group in flow injection analysis and trace analysis (FI-TRACE) from the University of the Balearic Islands, simulating human digestion using microdialysis membrane, synthetic intestinal flows and passive diffusion of metal through the stomach and intestinal epithelium. Then, the system mimetizes the fraction of ingested bioaccessible elements, available for subsequent absorption. (AU)
