Abstract

Considering the growing investigation in technology innovation theme and its incorporation in universities, emphasizing nursing courses that uses these resources to better prepare their students to clinical practice, it is important to identify these students' profile and their relation with digital devices and apps. Aim: Identify the existence of adhesion to technology devices among nursing students of a public university and identify their preferences of using it. Methodology: It is an observational study with transversal design and prospective data collection to occur in the Nursing College of Ribeirão Preto - University of São Paulo with 570 baccalaureate and licensing nursing students of under graduation. The data collection instrument is a questionnaire about research participants' profile and their adhesion to technology devices such as notebooks, tablets and smartphones, besides the main motives of using each one. The statistical analysis will be descriptive considering the characterization variables and will test qualitative variables through Qui-Square test, quantitative variables through Pearson correlation and both variable natures through Mann-Whitney or ANOVA considering significance of 0.05. The analysis will be done in SPSS 19 software (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences).
