Abstract

This project aims to collaborate in activities dedicated to geoprocess the information generated by PIPAG research (Research and Inventory of the Archaeological Heritage of Guarulhos). The information generated by PIPAG will be georeferenced and arranged for the production of maps and visualizations devoted to represent the spatial distribution of the archaeological heritage identified by the research. The activities will be carried out under the Hímaco (History, Mapes and Computers) Group, a joint initiative of the Federal University of São Paulo and the Public Archives of São Paulo. The Hímaco group explores the conditions for implementing the technology of Geographic Information Systems in the work of the historian.
