Abstract

Involvement in physical training programs are closely related to the reduction and/or maintenance of fat mass, being an excellent strategy to combat obesity. Numerous studies have highlighted the effectiveness of continuous aerobic training programs in weight reduction, as well as in circulating leptin concentrations, however, a growing number of studies demonstrate the role of high intensity intermittent exercise training as an alternative to optimize the process weight loss. However, it is incipient knowledge on the effects of intermittent aerobic training volume for high intensity and neuroendocrine regulation of fat mass. The objective of this project is to analyze the neuroendocrine response of intermittent high intensity aerobic training, with different volumes of training in healthy young subjects. To test that hypothesis, male subjects will be recruited, eutrophic, aged 18 and 30, which will be divided into three groups. The project will answer two questions: 1) To evaluate the behavior of neuroendocrine parameters and body composition between protocols with intermittent and continuous exercise, 2) evaluate the effect of intermittent aerobic training volume high intensity over neuroendocrine parameters and body composition.
