Abstract

Syndicated Urban Operations are defined as urban instruments that rely on public-private partnership so as to promote improvement actions in certain areas of the city. Also counting with the participation of civil society in defining their priorities, argues that these actions would be aimed at the common good. In this sense the analysis of the dynamics of the Consortium Urban Operations in the metropolis is of great importance to the extent that form one of the main instruments of intervention in the urban space that constitute a broader process and forming complex in the city of São Paulo. This research project aims to continue the study of Urban Operations Consortium in São Paulo focusing on Operation Urban Água Espraiada, trying to understand the relationship between this operation and the urban transformation processes in its perimeter and its surroundings adjacent. Coupled to this, it intends to continue the research developed by the NAPUrb which addresses issues concerning the production of contemporary urban space, especially in the metropolis. Seeks to understand the Urban Operations Consortium in São Paulo as urban instrument participant of this extensive process, taking as empirical object Operation Urban Água Espraiada in line with research on Urban Operation Água Branca, proposed by graduate student Laura Adami.
