Abstract

The development of this research in a foreign country aims to contribute for the comprehension of projectual intervention works in the Industrial Architectural Patrimony, collecting documental, textual and photographic material, experiencing the physical space as well. It has as object of study the intervention of architect Guillermo Vásquez Consuerga about the Industrial Complex/Monastery of Cartuja, in Seville -Spain, suitable to be the "Andalusian Center of Contemporary Art Center" and "Andalucía International University". It intends to use the obtained results as subsidy for relating with projects made in Brazil, including the FEPASA Complex in Jundiaí, worked in a previous scientific initiation survey , as well as CEPROCAMP and the KKKK Complex, in the cities of Campinas and Registro, respectively, which will be subject in the renovation of the study grant. Starting with the analysis of the projectual interventions in Brazil, it is proposed that by the end we can make a comparison between the different contexts, in the case, as Seville, Spain; city where the research group "Project, Architecture and City" from UNESP has research links. From contact with others interventions is possible to establish analogies, paying attention to similarities and differences between them, allowing a wide vision from the theme, and so think about the projectual directives for the intervention and protection of the Industrial Patrimony located in the contemporary city, with its different cultural contexts increasingly hybrid. Thus, through a critical investigation seek to foster and subsidize discussions and reflections on the professional practice of the architect and urbanist and possible projective paths, amongst the plurality of solutions in the various existing approaches in this theme.
