Abstract

This research aims the ergonomic evaluation of buildings icons of Brazilian modernist architecture, located in the city of São Paulo, produced between 1930 and 1964, commercial and residential use, as follows: Building National Assembly (1963), at Avenida Paulista, designed by architect Daniel Libeskind; the building Louveiras (1946), in Higienópolis district, designed by architect Vila Nova Artigas, the building Italy (1964), in the center of the neighborhood, designed by the architect Franz Heep, the building Copan (1966), Oscar Niemeyer, located at Praça da República and the CBI building Terrace (1946), the Lucjan Korngold architect, located in the Valley of Anhangabaú. This research aims to perform ergonomic evaluation, from the following steps: task analysis and survey layout and furnishings. Also, as a secondary objective, seeks to understand the ergonomics of the interrelations with other areas of environmental comfort (lighting and thermal) and assist in the understanding of the overall performance of buildings, not only assessing the adjustments in search of greater functionality that have occurred over the useful life of the buildings, both in physical space, such as environmental aspects, but also with the expectations of users when to live and work.The method to be used in the research is experimental with inductive field survey of physical and environmental variables. The results will be analyzed in a comparative way between the experimental data of buildings in their current settings and design, and are faced with ergonomic performance criteria, particularly those set out in ISO 26800-2011 Ergonomics - General approach, principles and concepts, ASTM E 2350-2013 Standard Guide for Integration of Ergonomics / Human Factors into New Occupational Systems and NBR 9050: 2004. Accessibility to buildings, furniture, spaces and urban facilities. The method applied is based on the results obtained in previous studies, which evaluated the performance under the ergonomic approach. As a result of the performance evaluation, under ergonomic approach, will be formulated design recommendations for contemporary architecture. (AU)
