Abstract

In recent decades, one can observe the growth in the use of natural biopolymers that due to the versatility feature, researchers have generated much interest in their applications innumerous biomedical fields. Chitosan is polymeric material obtained by deacetylation of chitin found in the exoskeletons of crustaceans and cell walls of some fungi species, has gained prominence as their properties, especially antimicrobial and regenerative when associated with nanoscale. Thus, in this study, polymeric nanofibers were obtained by electrospinning process from the parameters of variables: flow, distance and voltage to then be analyzed for the influence of the merger, via chitosan solution birch (Betula pendula). This herbal medicine has some properties such as anti-inflammatory, diuretic, healing, antiseptic and digestive is therefore widely used for therapeutic purposes. (AU)
