Analysis of penetration and occurrence of crack of two biocerâmicos cements

Abstract

Objective: To compare Bio-C Sealer and Sealer Plus BC cements in relation to AH Plus in relation to dentin penetration and crack occurrence and adhesive resistance. Introduction: Endodontic cements have the function of hermetically sealing the root canal system at the time of obturation, promoting the union between the gutta-percha and dentin walls and filling the spaces where a solid obturator material would not reach, as areas of anatomical complexity, decreasing the chances of endodontic failure. For this purpose, cements with different compositions are commercially available, and the objective of this study was to analyze three of them with regard to dentin penetration and adhesion strength, being AH Plus with resin base and Bio-C Sealer and Sealer Plus BC with base of calcium silicate. Material and methods: 30 extracted human upper central incisors will be instrumented in a standardized manner and randomly divided into three groups (N = 10) up to instrument R50 and filled according to the cements in question, plus the fluorescent dye (Fluo tree). After completion of the prey time, the roots will be sectioned transversely at 2, 4 and 6 mm from the apex and the fragments analyzed under a confocal microscope in order to verify the dentin penetration of said cements. The images obtained will be transferred to the ImageJ software for analysis. Subsequently the specimens will be submitted to the push-out test to verify the adhesion strength between the obturator-dentin interfaces. The results obtained will be statistically analyzed as p> 0.05%.
