Abstract

The objective of this work is to evaluate the maturation curve, the production, the quality of grapes and grape must of the cultivars BRS Lorena and Syrah, cultivated in the experimental vineyards in Botucatu-SP. The vine cultivars BRS Lorena and Syrah are grafted on the rootstocks ' IAC 766 ' and ' IAC 572 ', respectively. The vines were conducted by the spreading system, in spacing of 2.0 x 0.8 m (6250 plants ha-1). The production pruning will be held in August 2019. In each experimental area, the two cultivars are arranged in two planting lines with 30 plants each, totaling 6 blocks with 5 plants. From the beginning of the maturation of the grapes to the harvest, will be carried out in each experimental plot weekly evaluations of the content of soluble solids (SS), titratable acidity (TA), maturation index (SS/AT), pH, reducing sugars and total reducers. The grapes will also be evaluated in terms of total polyphenols, total flavonoids, anthocyanins and antioxidant activity by DPPH and FRAP methods. The biochemical analyses for the maturation curve will be performed only for the Syrah grape-paint cultivar. Will be selected 2 to 3 bunches per plant and collected weekly ten berries per bunch. The harvest point of the grapes will be determined from the follow-up of the maturation curve. In the harvest will be evaluated the numbers of bunches per plant, production and productivity. In each experimental plot will be selected 10 bunches evaluating: Fresh mass (g), Length (cm) and width (cm) of bunches, berries and of the rachis; bunches/rachis mass fresh ratio; fresh mass of seed/fresh mass of berry rate.
