Abstract

Protein-Protein Interaction (PPI) networks have been shown as efficient at identification of genes associated with diseases and can be integrated to transcriptome data for understanding about how genes interactions can result in a pathologic phenotype, this integration will produce the gene networks. Genes shared by the majority of viral infections are already know, between them, genes associated with antigen presentation and activation of T CD8 and T CD4 cells, however, little is known about how genes interact with each other in each infection. This project aims to conduct a gene network analysis for identification of genes interactions shared between Dengue, Chikungunya, Yellow Fever and Influenza viral infections and for identification of exclusives genes interactions for each one of these viral infections. PPI networks will be constructed in silico with protein interaction datas available at public databases. PPI networks and differentially expressed genes in transcriptome meta-analysis will be integrated for constructing genes networks of each viral infection. Gene networks of the four viral infections will be compared, it will allow the identification of exclusive and shared genes interactions. (AU)
