Abstract

Introduction: The use of portable electronic screens by children has been frequent. It is necessary to analyze the knowledge of caregivers and health professionals on the topic, in order to contribute to future guidance and dissemination. Objective: To verify the knowledge of parents and speech therapists about the use of portable electronic screens of children in language acquisition phase. Method: 200 subjects will be selected, who have family contact or experience with children in language acquisition phase, between 18 and 60 months. Of these 200 subjects, it is estimated to seek 120 parents who take care of children between 1, 6 and 5, 0 years. They will be motivated by an invitation letter sent through the kindergartens in which their children are enrolled. About 80 speech therapists who attend children with altered language development in this age group will also be invited. The invitation will occur through from social networks. Both parents and speech therapists will answer a questionnaire about the knowledge about using motherboards and language development. In the case of parents, the questionnaire will be applied directly through interviews at schools. Speech therapists will answer the same questionnaire through "online" link created by the platform "google". The data will be treated statistically. (AU)
