Abstract

This work proposes an analysis of the folkloric elements that compose the poemPushkin's narrative "Ruslan and Lyudmila", with the objective of delimiting these aspects, emphasizing its importance to the overall composition of the work. It also seeks to understand how theconstruction of these elements of Russian folklore and traditional fairy tales sedimented thepoem in the popular imagination of Russia. For this, folklore guides such as"Russian Folk Belief" by Linda Ivanits (1993), in addition to other texts specified in the bibliography. As there is no Portuguese translation, the English translation by Roger Clarke will be used.
