Abstract

This scientific initiation research project aims to reconstruct aspects of the production and circulation of knowledge on the use of audiovisual resources in education, in the period 1962 - 1982. The research also intends to identify and analyze authors and editorial strategies of the books delimited for the study (publishers, front and back covers, translators, institutional support, prefaces); to carry out a survey of the audiovisual resources addressed in the books under analysis and to identify and characterize the bibliographical references cited in the books delimited for the study with a view to mapping data on the circulation of knowledge on the subject. The project is based on the approach identified as "new cultural history" dialoguing with studies on school material culture and history of pedagogical knowledge. The research sources comprise the set of 29 books on audiovisual resources in education published in Brazil, in the period delimited for the study, found in the Library Network of the Universidade Estadual Paulista - Unesp.
