Abstract

(EN) The present invention relates to a microfluidic device composed of 8 working electrodes, a reference electrode, an auxiliary electrode and a microfluidic cell connected to a pump having a syringe and manual injector. The electrodes are made of polymer materials using a home cutting plotter, suitable drawing software and the microfluidic cell, with low-cost materials such as adhesive plastics or the like. The use of these materials produces a flexible, portable, disposable and robust device which is easy to use and manufacture, and which is therefore suitable for use in areas lacking resources. The microfluidic device has been used in the present invention for detecting protein biomarkers aimed at diagnosing cancer, but the electrodes can also be used as individual sensors or biosensors suitable for chemical analysis, clinical diagnosis and as immunosensors using both electrochemical and electrochemiluminescence for detection.
