Nutritionist graduated from the Federal University of Goiás. Master and PhD in Public Health from the Faculty of Public Health (FSP) of the University of São Paulo (USP). She did postdoctoral studies in Nutritional Epidemiology at the Center for Epidemiological Research in Nutrition and Health - NUPENS / USP and in Food and Nutrition Policies at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, United Kingdom. She is a Full Professor at the Department of Nutrition at FSP/USP, joining the teaching staff of the Unit in 2003. She was Coordinator of the Food and Nutrition Division at the Ministry of Health (2011 to 2014). She was Head (2017-2019) and Deputy Head (2019-2021) of the Nutrition Department at FSP, and Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Nutrition in Public Health (2020-2022). She is currently the Scientific Coordinator of NUPENS/USP and of the Josué de Castro Chair of Healthy and Sustainable Food Systems based at FSP. Member of the Deliberative Council of the Brazilian Association of Public Health /Abrasco (2024-2027). Member of the Intersectoral Commission on Food and Nutrition (CIAN) of the National Health Council (CNS), representing Abrasco. Member of the Advisory Board of the Latin American Food and Nutrition Society/SLAN. She has experience in the field of food and nutrition in collective health, working on the following topics: food and nutrition policies, food environment, promotion of healthy eating and primary health care. 1C Research Productivity Scholarship (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
