Carmem Beatriz Neufeld

Carmem Beatriz Neufeld is an Associate Professor in the Psychology Department of the Ribeirão Preto School of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters (FFCLRP) at the University of São Paulo (USP), where she works in the area of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Childhood and Adolescent Psychopathology. She has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the Universidade da Região da Campanha, a Master's degree in Social and Personality Psychology from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul and a PhD in Psychology from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul, with a Post-Doctorate in Psychology from the Instituto de Psicologia da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and a Post-Doctorate in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy from the Department of Psychology of the Faculdade de Filosofia, Ciências e Letras de Ribeirão Preto da Universidade de São Paulo. She is a member of the Postgraduate Program in Psychology and the Postgraduate Program in Psychobiology of the Psychology Department of the same University, where she founded and coordinates the Cognitive-Behavioral Research and Intervention Laboratory - LaPICC. She is a permanent guest lecturer on the Master's and Doctorate in Psychology at the Universidad de La Laguna in Spain and the Doctorate in Healthy Development at the Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Hidalgo in Mexico. She is a CNPq Productivity Fellow. She is the re-elected President of the Latin American Federation of Cognitive and Behavioral Psychotherapies (ALAPCCO) - 2019-2022/ 2022-2025. She is the founding president of the Association for Evidence-Based Teaching and Supervision (AESBE) - 2020-2023 term. She was president of the Brazilian Federation of Cognitive Therapies (FBTC) - 2011/2013 - 2013/2015. She is Brazil's representative on the Inter-American Society of Psychology (SIP) - 2023-2025/ 2025-2027. She currently also works as an advisor for the development of psychosocial interventions for young people with a focus on prevention for the World Bank (BIRD) and with a therapeutic focus for the Child Mind Institute (SNF).
