During this one-month period at the University of São Paulo, Prof. Dr. Cor Claeys is going to perform the following activities: 1) Based on the experience of Prof. Claeys and scientific research activities, he will be giving lectures to graduate students on the introduction to low-frequency noises, illustrated by case studies related to advanced CMOS devices, which is one of their specialties, theme of one of his books.2) He will also give lectures to USP graduate students about defects in semiconductor materials and devices, describing the origin, characterization and electrical impact of metals and extended defects, the subject of one of his books. 3) Technical discussion/coordination with SOI/CMOS students of the Integrated Systems Laboratory - LSI/USP (SOI/CMOS Group coordinated by Prof. Dr. Joao Martino) on the technology and physics of advanced devices such as MOSFET, Tunnel-FET and FinFET, for applications such as biosensors elements (such as Bio-FinFET). 4) To contribute with the PhD students of the SOI/CMOS group of USP working with advanced devices and biosensors, participating in technical meetings to study, analyze and consolidate the works of this area. 5) Participate in technical meetings to define future work in cooperation between the University of São Paulo and the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven) in Belgium. 6) To give an invited keynote address at Chip In Sampa, which will take place from August 26 to 30, 2019, at the International Broadcasting Center at USP, as well as acting as program chair of SBMicro 2019 (34th Symposium on Microelectronics Technology and Devices). 7) Provide seminars/lectures on "Advanced Semiconductor CMOS Technologies and Sensors" for undergraduate students at the Polytechnic School of USP. 8) Visit 2 research and teaching centers of micro and nanoelectronics of UNICAMP (State University of Campinas) and UNESP (State University of São Paulo), both in the state of São Paulo, to teach a technical lecture on the subjects of their specialty.
