Abstract

This research, already in progress, aims to build, implement and also validate, a scale able to measure the presence and the adhesion mode to the values of justice, respect, solidarity and democratic coexistence in scholars from elementary school (second cycle) and high school, in addition, with basic education teachers. The scale has been built, and some applications have already made as a pre-test. Intends with FAPESP sponsored, apply it in around 5000 respondents and validate it. The project has been developed in Fundação Carlos Chagas (FCC), by coordination of Professor Marialva Tavares and Professor Maria Suzana de Stefano Menin (UNESP), also counts with a team from different Universities (UNICAMP, UNESP, UNIFRAN, UFSC, UNISANTOS) besides internal researchers from FCC. Theoretically, the project inspires in authors such as Piaget, Kohlberg, Selman, and Brazilians researchers as La Taille, Menin, Tognetta, Vinha, Tardeli, Martins, among others. The method will involve the elaboration of items regarding values and their descriptors organized in stories, problems-situations, with alternatives in response to and against the values and in "descentration levels" of social perspective. Will be investigated variables of social belonging of the respondents, as well as relational - environment and socio moral of their schools and families. The analysis will, among other methods, with the Item Response Theory (IRT). (AU)
