Abstract

This research explores dialogues possibilities between the contemporary processes of design and building production, and the Information and Communication Technologies logics. It searches to incorporate new thinking methods into the design and architecture practice. Specifically, it intends to analyze the aspects from the processes of conception, project and use of interactive buildings, so that it examines the design process of an architecture that has in it the capacity to digitally process the information. Under this condition, the architecture becomes also an interface, a physical mean through which is possible to access a bigger and connected system, with characteristics based on the fluidity from the digital information processing. Which are the different possibilities of digital media introduction on the concrete space? Which are the aspects around the conception, development and production of these buildings? How is this architecture living and experiencing approached? The hypothesis search to identify how aspects and logics from the information's digital processing is related to the processes that permeates these buildings design. The research discusses the circumstances that influence the creative processes in an age distinguished by the strong influence of the digital information on several aspects from the contemporary life. This approach searches, above all, to provide support for a fundamented design and architectural practice on the technological, social and cultural context from 21st century beginning.
