The Cochlear Implant is a device which allows its users to regain auditory sensations, mainly related to speech, however, it is necessary that the IC recipient pass through a rehabilitation process in order both to learn to deal with these new stimuli, and to establish a speech with point-to-point correspondence compared to that emitted by the verbal community in which is inserted. Studies regard the verbal behavior and the symbolic function operationalized by the paradigm of the stimulus equivalence stablish new education proposals of diferent beahaviors regarding the language, and the Program of Teaching Reading and Writing - Progleit is consolidated proposal arising from investments in scientific research in this area in last decades. The main objective of the present study is to evaluate the extensions of the effect of the individualized and computerized instructional program of reading and writing (Progleit 2.1) on the speech intelligibility of children with prelingual hearing loss and cochlear implant users. The implications of such research permeate, therefore, the practice of professionals involved in the process of (re) habilitation of this population, such as psychologists, speech therapists and teachers, creating opportunities for new features grounded on scientific data.
