Abstract

Obesity is a disease characterized by excessive accumulation of body fat, with a multifactor origin, such as environmental, behavioral and genetic factors. Several studies have shown that more than 600 genes have the ability to influence on body weight regulation and energy metabolism, or are positively associated with obesity human. The aim of this study is to check the expression of genes ADBR3, CPUs, PLIN, PPARG2 in abdominal subcutaneous adipose tissue of obese grade III before and after nutritional intervention for weight loss. The sample will consist of two groups: Group 1 (Group Intervention - G1) will be composed of 10 women with obesity class III mixed population, aged between 18 and 60 years, candidates for hospitalization for conducting dietary intervention and Group 2 (Group control - G2), is composed of 10 women with normal weight from the State Hospital to conduct medical indication for surgery of umbilical hernia (incisional or epigastric) or acute cholecystitis without cholelithiasis.The classification of nutritional status will be made by the Body Mass Index (BMI) and then individuals will be subject to an assessment of body composition by bioelectrical impedance method eddy, the resting metabolic rate (RMR) by indirect calorimetry and analysis gene expression analysis by quantitative PCR in real time. After 8 weeks of dietary intervention of G1, participants will be reassessed and compared between pre and post intervention and the G2 data.
