Abstract

The state of São Paulo has several points that apply to the conditions required for arbovirus transmission: it has vertebrates that can act as reservoir hosts for such viruses, species of mosquitoes identified as vectors and humans, subject to infections by such viruses. Thus, the objective of the present work will identify the presence of Flavivirus and Alphavirus in mosquitoes (Diptera: Culicidae) collected in São Paulo State. As traps used: vacuum cleaner, Shannon and CDC-CO2. The mosquitoes will be transported to the dry ice lab set up on the cold table and grouped into pools of up to 10 non-engorged children, second species, data and local collection. After that, as dimensions will be submitted to the detection of Flavivirus and Alphavirus by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Positive tags will be forwarded for sequencing and phylogenetic analysis. Thus, it is intended to contribute to the knowledge about availability, distribution and frequency of Flavivirus and Alphavirus in mosquitoes in the state of São Paulo and to raise epidemiological data that help prevent arbovirus transmission to humans.
